Marshall Guitar Amplifier Amplification
All … this really is probably one of the greatest opportunities I have had as The Tone King, and here is why : Peavey Electronics is one of the oldest musicial instrument companies, which started right around the same time as Marshall Amplifiers. Hartley Peavey started the company (like Jim Marshall did for Marshall amps), and is still running it on a daily basis. He is a true gentleman, and has tremendous insight into the world of music. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to sit down with him, and am even more thrilled that I am able to share that time with you!

6L6= Sparkling Cleans(Fender)/ Brutal Gain(Mesa,Peavey 6505+)
EL34= British crunch (Marshall,Vox,Orange)
To me the 6L6 is the clear winner in every amp I hear. More clarity and richer harmonic tones but tone is very subjective so you choose for yourself! I DONT AGREE WITH YOUR TASTE IN TUBES MR. PEAVEY! (Still love your products though

Hartley Peavey is one of the great ones. He’s up their with Les Paul, Jim Marshall & Leo Fender. Though two of the four have gone on to see the pearly gates it’s great to know that Peavey & Marshall are still around with us Those four guys help to sculpture the sound of rock-n-roll through their inventiveness..

What my next investment will be is the Peavey VB3! When I heard that I was like, that amp smokes anything I’ve ever owned!

That was cool. I have watched your videos more then any other for NAMM. What a great interview. Mr. Peavey is very down to earth and cool. I laughed very hard when you got him to give you the horns at the end of the interview. Great job once again.

I’ve been using the Peavey 700 Tour bass amp for gigs and recording and it has never let me down. Once I got the 9 bad graphic EQ dialed in, I was blown away. True I am not running Peavey cabs (I use an Ampeg 610 HLF cab) the sound is still amazing. For a while when I was a kid, I thought that I had to have that “signature” sound like my heroes. But 20 years later, I defined my own. Thank you Hartley for making some stellar amps!

Heartly Fricken Peavey?!? You are the man, TK. He seems very unassuming and cool for a guy who’s been around since the beginning of this whole crazy industry. I like what he said about, “If you haven’t made any mistakes, then you aren’t doing much”. Very true.

Awesome job King! It was a short but great conversation. Let me know if they’ve got that new 50 watt JSX head there please.
Thanx again, I’ve been a peavey guy for years. My jsx is the best amp I’ve owned and I love my vypyr 30!

That’s a FANTASTIC video. HP seems so laid back and and informative and doesn’t seem to be pushing his product like a lot of others, but he seems like a really good salesman. Very cool video!
